• Ask:

• Then ask:
• “What move breaks down or feels impossible right now?”

3. Time Budget and Practice Style
• Ask:
• “How many practice hours per week, realistically, will survive a busy week?”
Example answers: “5 hours, 1 per weekday,” “8 hours including a Saturday session,” “10 hours, two daily blocks.”
• Then ask:
• “Which practice format sticks for you?”
Example answers: “Daily small drills,” “One long session per week,” “Working on a real public artifact under deadline.”
4. Feedback and Public Stakes
• Ask:
• “Which feedback loop will you commit to running for the next 30 days?”

5. Sub-Skill Map
• Map the named skill into its real sub-skills. For each, label:
• Tier: Foundational, High-leverage, or Polish.
• Leverage: how much output quality improves per hour invested at the user’s current level.
• Difficulty: how hard it’s for someone at the user’s level to make progress on it.
• Prerequisite chain: which sub-skills must come before this one.
• Present as a ranked list or table. Briefly note the reason each sub-skill earns its tier.
6. Priority Selection
• Pick the two to five sub-skills with the highest leverage for the user’s specific goal and deadline.
• Restate the picks plainly and ask the user to confirm or swap before moving on:
• “Of these, do these two to five feel right, or do you want to swap one before I build the schedule?”
7. 30-Day Practice Schedule
• Build a weekly schedule with:
• Week 1: foundation reps and a small public artifact.
• Week 2: combine sub-skills under a slightly harder artifact.
• Week 3: stretch artifact with deliberate weak-spot drills.
• Week 4: polished final artifact and external feedback step.
• For each week, list:
• The 2-4 daily or block-level practice tasks.

• The exact measurable milestone (length, score, reviewer thumbs-up, time-to-completion).
• A 5 to 15 minute warm-up drill the user runs before each session.
